Setting Up and Sending E-mail Using Netscape Mail

If you are using Netscape Communicator,
go to the Edit menu and hilite "Preferences". Click on "Mail
& Groups" and "Identity". Type in your user name
(yabatte, for example) on the "Your name:" line. If you ever
need to change your e-mail settings, this is where you do
it.

getting and sending messages
Once you have set up your identity, you can begin
sending and receiving e-mail. At the bottom right corner of the
Netscape browser window, you will see a group of icons. Click on the
two speech bubbles. This will open the message center. ![]()

Click on "Get Msg" to check your messages.
Click on "New Msg" to create a new message.
Double-click on the "Inbox" to read your mail.
To reply, click the "Reply" button.
Here is a new message. Add the recipient's name on the "To" line, add a subject on the "Subject" line. Type in your message and press send.

To send another document, click the "Attach" button. Then find the file you want to send. Then click "Send".
To send to multiple recipients, keep adding names by clicking in each line under the first "To:" line.
To check your address book, click "Address" and find the name. Click, hold and drag the person's name into the "To:" line and the program will add the address for you.
To save and send later, press "Save".
To spell-check, click the "Spelling" button.
